President Clinton missed the opportunity to save the country

from foreign debt because he denied the payment of the Old Age Retirement Income and Health Insurance Benefits to alien workers who fully subscribed to the Social Security and Medicare Plans by paying the necessary taxes. To the same extent, ‘The Clinton Curse’ invites Americans to live their lives paying taxes to repay the foreign debt.

Bill Clinton is giving the keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention tonight.

The idea is to make people feel nostalgic for the last time when the economy was really booming, and hope that some of that rubs off on Obama.

However, in the New York Post, Charlie Gasparino uses the occasion to remind everyone that the seeds of our current economic malaise were planted during the Clinton years.

Basically, it was under Clinton that Fannie and Freddie really began blowing the housing bubble, issuing epic amounts of mortgage-backed debt.

The story that Gasparino tells is basically: Liberal Bill Clinton thought he could use government to make everyone a homeowner and so naturally this ended in disaster.

Gasparino specifically cites the controversial Community Reinvestment Act, a popular conservative bogeyman:

How did they do this? Through rigorous enforcement of housing mandates such as the Community Reinvestment Act, and by prodding mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to make loans to people with lower credit scores (and to buy loans that had been made by banks and, later, “innovators” like Countrywide).

The Housing Department was Fannie and Freddie’s top regulator — and under Cuomo, the mortgage giants were forced to start ramping up programs to issue more subprime loans to the riskiest of borrowers.

That’s interesting. But the truth is far more complicated. And more interesting.

Clinton’s Budget Legacy

In addition to being remembered for a strong economy, Bill Clinton is remembered as the last President to preside over balanced budgets.

Given the salience of the national debt issue in American politics today, the surpluses are a major mark of pride for the former President (and arguably the entire country). They shouldn’t be.

“I think it is safe to say that we are still suffering the harmful effects of the Clinton budget surpluses,” says Stephanie Kelton, an economics professor at the University of Missouri Kansas City.

To understand why you first need to understand that the components of GDP look like this:

In the above equation, C is private consumption (spending). ‘I’ is investment spending. ‘G’ is government spending. And ‘X-M’ is exports-minus imports (essentially the trade surplus).

Here’s a chart of the government budget around the years during and right after Clinton, in case you need a reminder that the government was in surplus near the end of his tenure.

If the government is in surplus, it means that the government is taking in more cash than it is spending, which is the opposite of stimulus.

It’s also well-known that the US trade deficit exploded during the late 90s, which means that ‘X-M’ was also a huge drag on GDP during his years.

So the trade deficit was subtracting from GDP, and the government was sucking up more money from the private sector than it was pushing out.

There was only one “sector” of the economy left to compensate: Private consumption. And private consumption compensated for the drags from government and trade in two ways.

First, the household savings rate collapsed during the Clinton years.

And even more ominously, household debt began to surge.

So already you can see how the crisis started to germinate under Clinton.

As his trade and budget policies became a drag on the economy, households spent and went into debt like never before.

Economist Stephanie Kelton expounded further in an email to Business Insider:

“Now, you might ask, “What’s the matter with a negative private sector balance?”. We had that during the Clinton boom, and we had low inflation, decent growth and very low unemployment. The Goldilocks economy, as it was known. The great moderation. Again, few economists saw what was happening with any degree of clarity. My colleagues at the Levy Institute were not fooled. Wynne Godley wrote brilliant stuff during this period. While the CBO was predicting surpluses “as far as the eye can see” (15+ years in their forecasts), Wynne said it would never happen. He knew it couldn’t because the government could only run surpluses for 15+ years if the domestic private sector ran deficits for 15+ years. The CBO had it all wrong, and they had it wrong because they did not understand the implications of their forecast for the rest of the economy. The private sector cannot survive in negative territory. It cannot go on, year after year, spending more than its income. It is not like the US government. It cannot support rising indebtedness in perpetuity. It is not a currency issuer. Eventually, something will give. And when it does, the private sector will retrench, the economy will contract, and the government’s budget will move back into deficit.”

But this is only part of the story. What about what Charlie Gasparino wrote about above?

The Fannie and Freddie Boom

When the government is running a surplus, it no longer has to issue much debt. But risk-free government bonds are a crucial component of portfolios for all kinds of financial institutions, and for mom & pop investors who like the safety of regularly Treasury payouts. The yield on the 10-year bond was over 5% back in those days… nothing to sneeze at for people planning for a retirement.

This created a bit of a crisis.

Bond trader Kevin Ferry, a veteran of the scene, told Business Insider about the panic that was unfolding over the government’s lack of debt.

“OMG, they were all saying… there wasn’t going to be any paper!”

How did the markets react?

“Lo and behold… [Fannie and Freddie] issuance “SURGED” in the late 90s,” said Ferry.

Everything changed. While the government dramatically slowed down the issuance of Treasuries, Fannie and Freddie picked up the baton and started selling debt like never before.

“Prior to those years, there were not regular [Fannie and Freddie] auctions.”

“The system wanted it.”

“The fear was that there wasn’t going to be any…. There were no bill auctions.”

“The brokers were calling up ma & pa and said there are no more T-Bill auctions!”

And the data bears this out.

Total agency issuance of mortgage-backed securities spiked in 1998 and 1999, and from then on they never looked back.

And just to drive home the point again, about how the 1998-1999 spike in issuance was the mirror image of the annual change in the size of the government debt.

Note that both government debt and agency issuance spiked in the early 2000s, but that was during a recession when the private sector dramatically scaled back its activity form the late 90s.

How Clinton Destroyed The Economy

The bottom line is that the signature achievement of the Clinton years (the surplus) turns out to have been a deep negative. For this drag on GDP was being counterbalanced by low household savings, high household debt, and the real revving up of the Fannie and Freddie debt boom that had a major hand in fueling the boom that ultimately led to the downfall of the economy.

And that brings up a broader question that people who advocate balanced budgets must answer.

What’s the point of it?

Despite the budget surplus, interest rates were higher. And the surplus provided no protection of the coming slump. And if anything, it just weakened the most brittle part of the economy: households.

Furthermore, there is a pattern of this.

So while Clinton will be remembered nostalgically tonight, for both the performance of the economy and his government finances, they shouldn’t be remembered fondly.

WASHINGTON – Earlier today, at a ceremony in Emancipation Hall of the United States Capitol Visitor Center, President Obama and leaders of Congress commemorated the 150th anniversary of the 13th amendment to the Constitution. Following are House Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-WI) remarks at the ceremony, as prepared for delivery:
The Thirteenth Amendment is just 43 words long. It is so short that, when you read it, you can almost miss the whole significance. You have to stop and remind yourself that 600,000 people died in the Civil War—600,000 died over 43 words. Or to be more precise, they died in a war that decided whether those 43 words would ever be written.
And not everyone supported the Thirteenth Amendment. There was fierce opposition. But I think it is telling that when the state of Maryland held a referendum to abolish slavery, it was the votes of Union soldiers that put it over the top. It was the men who had been in the field and heard the battle cries and seen heroic deeds. They knew, better than most, that everyone in that field was an American.
A private in the 89th Illinois put it best. He wrote, “I have often [heard] of men say that they would not fight beside a negro soldier but . . . the whites and blacks charged together and they fell just as well as [we] did. . . . I have seen a great [many] fighting for our country. Then why should they not be free[?]”
It took a war for us to answer that question. We should be honest with ourselves. It took centuries of cruelty and injustice. But today we celebrate the moment when our country decided: Yes, they should be free. They would be free. And we thought this decision was so important that for the first time in half a century, we amended the Constitution. From then on, it would be the supreme law of the land.
And so today we celebrate this 43-word amendment, this “new birth of freedom.” “It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.” And we should remember all that it took: the historic battles, the great generals, yes—but also the men in the ranks, the names we have forgotten, especially the men who had once been enslaved: men like William H. Carney and Andrew Jackson Smith.
These men were segregated. They were mistreated. And yet they still fought. They fought for a country that had denied them their freedom. They fought for all of us. And so when we read those 43 short and simple words, we should remember these men and what they did. We should realize those words, like their acts, are gallant, noble, profound. We have witnessed true greatness in this country. And when we ratified the Thirteenth Amendment, we committed ourselves to building a country just as great.
That is what those 43 words mean. That is what they represent. And that is more than worthy of celebration. Thank you.

My readers should not be surprised if I describe the US Congress as “Slave Driver.” The reason for my claim is based on PRWORA enacted by the US Congress in 1996 that amended US Social Security Act of 1935. This legal provision enacted by the Congress is incorporated as Section 202(y) of the Social Security Act. It mandates that no Retirement Income benefits shall be payable to registered alien (noncitizen) taxpayers in the United States without showing proof of lawful residency as determined by the Attorney General. In my view, unexpired Employment Authorization Document (EAD) must not be demanded if the alien or noncitizen worker has attained the full retirement age as determined by law.

Social Security Act, Section 202(y) violates the principle enshrined in those 43 words called the 13th Amendment. This 1996 amendment to the Social Security Act is fundamentally flawed for it is unconstitutional. It takes away property rights (earnings, wages and retirement income) of individuals who paid Federal, State, Local, Social Security and Medicare Taxes working in this country to attain the full retirement age.

The Emancipation Proclamation issued by President Abraham Lincoln (Republican) in September 1862 came into effect on January 01, 1863 freeing slaves in all territory still at War with the Union. These slaves were not citizens of the Land and had no political rights of their own. In Law, Servitude or Slavery refers to the burden imposed upon property of a person by a specified right another has in its use. Servitude involves labor in which the person who performs labor has no right to his earnings from labor. The Emancipation Proclamation specifically protects, defends, preserves and safeguards the human rights of aliens or non citizens residing in the United States.

The amended Social Security Act gives power to the Social Security Administration to withhold property (wages, earnings, monthly retirement income benefits) of non citizen workers who are not convicted by any US Court of Law. In my analysis, the Social Security Act of 1935 amended in 1996 does not uphold the US Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land.

I ask my readers to make a distinction between Social Security Tax and Monthly Retirement Benefit. The first represents tax paid to government and the second represents earning or wage entitled to retired person to provide income and security during old age.

US CONGRESS MUST DO THE RIGHT THING TO SAVE AMERICA FROM THE CLINTON CURSE, THE ECONOMIC DISASTER OF 2021.

I ask my readers to review 43-word 13th Amendment and tell me if those words still govern, rule, and operate the lives of all people, wage earners who perform labor in the US paying taxes.

My readers should not be surprised if I describe the US Congress as “Slave Driver.” The reason for my claim is based on the ‘PRWORA’ enacted by the US Congress in 1996 amending The US Social Security Act of 1935. This legal provision enacted by 104th US Congress is incorporated as Section 202(y) of the Social Security Act. It mandates that no Retirement Income benefits shall be payable to registered alien(non-citizen) taxpayers in the United States without showing proof of lawful residency as determined by the Attorney General. In my view, the Social Security Administration must not demand a document such as an unexpired Employment Authorization Document (EAD if an alien worker has attained full retirement age as determined by law.

Social Security Act, Section 202(y) violates the principle enshrined in those 43 words called the 13th Amendment. This 1996 amendment to the Social Security Act is fundamentally flawed for it is unconstitutional. It takes away the property rights (earnings, wages, and retirement income) of individuals who paid Federal, State, Local, Social Security and Medicare Taxes working in this country to attain the full retirement age.

The Emancipation Proclamation issued by President Abraham Lincoln (Republican) in September 1862 came into effect on January 01, 1863 freeing slaves in all territory still at War with the Union.

These slaves were not citizens of the Land and had no political rights of their own. In Law, Servitude or Slavery refers to the burden imposed upon the property of a person by a specified right another has in its use. Servitude involves labor in which the person who performs labor has no right to his earnings from labor. The Emancipation Proclamation specifically protects, defends, preserves and safeguards rights of aliens or non-citizens residing in the United States.

The amended Social Security Act unfairly gives power to the Social Security Administration to withhold the property (wages, earnings, monthly retirement income benefits) of alien workers who are not convicted felons. In my analysis, the Social Security Act of 1935 amended in 1996 fails to enshrine the guiding principles clearly stated in the US Constitution, the Supreme Law of this Land.

I ask my readers to make the distinction between Social Security Tax and Monthly Retirement Benefit. The first represents tax paid to the government and the second represents earning or wage entitled to a retired person to provide income and security during old age.

The Thirteenth Amendment is just 43 words long. It is so short that, when you read it, you can almost miss the whole significance. You have to stop and remind yourself that 600,000 people died in the Civil War—600,000 died over 43 words. Or to be more precise, they died in a war that decided whether those 43 words would ever be written.

All said and done, President Clinton’s Evil Plan failed to resolve the problem of National Debt. The Repeal PRWORA Movement exposes President Clinton’s contemptuous violation of the Constitutional Principles of equal protection, equal justice and equal treatment under Law.

On this day, August 14, 1935, FDR signs the Social Security Act. However, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) does not cover Retirement Insurance Benefit Plans sponsored by government entities such as the Social Security Administration (SSA). This glaring omission of Social Security Retirement Insurance Benefit Plan from the protection offered by ERISA transformed SSA into “Slave Driver.” SSA uses this absence of oversight with great impunity to violate the principles of Equal Protection guaranteed by the US Constitutional Law.

On this day in 1935, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signs into law the Social Security Act. Press photographers snapped pictures as FDR, flanked by ranking members of Congress, signed into law the historic act, which guaranteed an income for the unemployed and retirees. FDR commended Congress for what he considered to be a “patriotic” act.

Roosevelt had taken the helm of the country in 1932 in the midst of the Great Depression, the nation’s worst economic crisis. The Social Security Act (SSA) was in keeping with his other “New Deal” programs, including the establishment of the Works Progress Administration and the Civilian Conservation Corps, which attempted to hoist America out of the Great Depression by putting Americans back to work.

In his public statement that day, FDR expressed concern for “young people [who] have come to wonder what would be their lot when they came to old age” as well as those who had employment but no job security. Although he acknowledged that “we can never insure one hundred percent of the population against one hundred percent of the hazards and vicissitudes of life,” he hoped the act would prevent senior citizens from ending up impoverished.

Although it was initially created to combat unemployment, Social Security now functions primarily as a safety net for retirees and the disabled and provides death benefits to taxpayer dependents. The Social Security system has remained relatively unchanged since 1935.

The word “LOVE” does not appear in the Torah ( Law) given to the Jews at Mount Sinai. I conducted a study of the holiday traditions of the US and I am totally surprised to note that there is no traditional celebration of the Proclamation of the two Great Love Commandments of Jesus Christ. The Jewish Holiday “Shavuot” celebrates the giving of the ‘TORAH'(the LAW or Instruction) to the Jews. God gave the Ten Commandments (The Decalogue, The Code of The Ten Words)on the sixth night of the Hebrew month of ‘Sivan’. Shavuot always falls 50 days (PENTECOST) after the second night of Passover. The 49 days between Passover and Shavuot are known as ‘Omer’. Jesus Christ retains the essence of The Code of The Ten Words; but, changed the Operating Principle of the Torah or The Law. Jesus instructs that the Law would be followed by His believers not through the use of force or authority but by simply embracing the equally powerful influence called “Love.”

Love has to be known as The Medium that generates the attachment or devotion to another person; and this attachment implies connection by ties of affection, sexual attraction, devotion, friendship, goodwill, compassion, respect, trust, and commitment. This kind of care and concern for a person, or persons in a relationship could be called ‘Whole Love’ if whatever is done for Love occurs beyond good and evil.

In the US, there are several holidays that are legal and none of them directly address the central issue of developing Love relationships.

Christmas Day Holiday celebration should reflect the very essence of Christianity.  The Gospel according to Apostle John, Chapter 3, verse# 16 declares: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” The Christmas tradition is about the Joy associated with the birth of baby Jesus and the exchange of gifts to express the sense of happiness. Christmas holiday is not in the remembrance of God’s Law. Jesus Christ established ‘LOVE’ as the God’s Greatest Commandment. The Gospel according to Apostle Matthew (Chapter 22, verses#37-40), and The Gospel according to Apostle Mark (Chapter 12, verses# 28-31) describe the Commandments of Love: “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. This is the first great commandment. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two Commandments.” The Gospel according to Apostle John, Chapter 13, verse# 34 describes the need for neighborly relations among people based upon Love: “A new command I give you: Love one another, as I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

In the United States, we have no Law, or a cultural tradition to commemorate the event in which Jesus Christ issued the two great commandments asking people to observe the Law of ‘Whole Love’ which demands, 1. The Love of God with Whole Body, Heart, Mind, and Soul, and 2. The Love of Neighbor as a requirement of God’s Law for man. After my ‘Whole Discovery’, the discovery of the experience of ‘Whole Love’ at Whole Foods Market, Ann Arbor, Michigan on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, I have decided to promote the establishment of a ‘Whole Tradition’ to follow the Spirit of the ‘Whole Law’ to truly observe the Commandment of ‘Whole Love’. To commemorate my ‘Whole Discovery’, I am writing this appeal to ask all the members of the US Congress to approve a new Law to observe the last Wednesday of July as the ‘Whole Love Holiday’. The choice of Wednesday is very appropriate as most other legal holidays are observed on Mondays as a matter of convenience and not for the purposes of obedience to a Divine Law which should be the source and inspiration for the Human Law. The concept of ‘Whole Love’ represents the ‘Whole Law’ that is explicitly pronounced by Jesus Christ as the only Commandment that man must follow and observe in his lifetime. To acknowledge the ‘Whole Law’, to celebrate its pronouncement, we need a new ‘Whole Tradition’ which is reflected by instituting a new ‘Whole Holiday’.

The term ‘Cookie’ is used to describe a small sweet cake usually flat and often crisp. The word ‘Cookie’ may also be used to describe an attractive, young woman. As Sigmund Freud had explained, all kinds of love have an element of sexual attraction and it is inherently natural as such attraction is the fundamental nature of all living things that are governed by the Natural Law of Generation and Propagation. So, I love my ‘Cookies’ even if it may imply the Love of more than one person. The ‘Whole Law’ mandates the Love of more than one person.

If the US Congress approves new legislation to institute a Holiday on the last Wednesday of July to celebrate Love, I would expect that Whole Foods would rename its 365 Everyday Value Mismatched Sandwich Cremes as “Whole Cookies.” The Vanilla Cookie symbolizes God’s Love for man and the Chocolate Cookie symbolizes man’s love of his neighbor. The Commandment or the Divine Law that demands people to ‘Love thy Neighbor’ must be celebrated in a tradition similar to the Jewish Holiday that celebrates the Proclamation of The Ten Commandments. In my opinion, it is not about imposition of religion by State. The State has declared its Independence on July 04, 1776 claiming Natural Rights and quoted the Principles of Natural Law to justify its demand for Independence from the British Crown. Further, the Supreme Law of the US is the Constitution of the US and it gives the Right to Life and supports the Pursuit of Happiness. The opposite of Love is called ‘Hate’ and it precisely undermines the citizens’ right to life and to the pursuit of happiness. The remembrance of the ‘Love Commandments’, the honoring of its Proclamation and a traditional celebration of ‘Whole Love’ will definitely promote the development of social harmony, is conducive to peaceful enjoyment of life and will establish tranquility in human interactions. We need Wholesome Relations between individuals and between nations to prepare the Whole World for the Second Coming of the Christ.

The Rudi Connection at Whole Foods Discovers the Identity of Human Soul, or the Knowing-Self. What is Man? Who is Whole Dude?

The word ‘Whole’ as an adjective describes quality of being healthy, sound, auspicious, not broken, not defective, entire, undivided, complete, containing or constituting the entire amount, or having all of its natural elements. The word ‘Whole’ is also used as a noun to describe a thing or entity that is complete in itself and which lacks none of its parts. Whole Dude is a phrase that refers to Whole Man in all aspects of one’s being, including physical, mental, social, moral, rational, creative and spiritual. The man exists because of functional unity of the entire system and hence the singularity of the multicellular organism called man may not be divided into its constituent parts like body, mind, and soul which have no independent existence of their own.

I prefer the phrase Whole Dude over other often used phrases such as Whole Man, Whole Person, Whole Self, and others. Just like ‘White Light’, the singularity described as a man is in reality a spectrum of seven colors. The seven dimensions of the man are, 1. The Physical, 2. The Mental, 3. The Social, 4. The Moral, 5. The Spiritual, 6. The Creative, and 7. The Rational. The description of the man as a created, spiritual, and rational being is fundamental to defining the man as a Whole Dude.

The phrase Whole Dude somehow misses the flavor called Woman. God created both man and woman in His own image and hence God is both male and female at one and the same time. In the common usage of the term God, most often writers refer to God as if He is exclusively Male or of the masculine gender. From the very beginning, the Indian tradition views God as the First Male and the First Female and named the Male Principle as Father and the Female Principle as Mother. Father is the Originating Principle, and Mother is the Source Principle. The Indian tradition describes the Mother as the Divine Source of Matter, Energy, Knowledge, and Life or as the Constitutive Principle. Father is described as the LORD, the Owner, the Ruler, the Governor, the Controller, the Protector, the Sustainer, the Maintainer, the Preserver or as the Regulative Principle that rules, regulates, and governs all the operations of matter, energy, knowledge, and life in the created, natural Cosmic Order.

Just like the phrase Whole Dude, I coined the phrase Whole Cookie to specifically refer to the feminine gender created by God. The word Cookie is often applied to describe a young, attractive woman, a sweet thing, whose flavor is reflected in the language, behavior, and mannerisms that contribute to the constitution of the female personality. I love Whole Cookie for she brings to my experience the sweetness of the Divine Mother called Madhavi. The name Madhavi is derived from the word Madhu, a sweet substance found in nectar, honey, wine, sugarcane, and others.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2014, I discovered the meaning of Whole Love. I am the ‘Creme’ just like the Creme of a Sandwich Creme Cookie and my original human nature reflects the sweetness of God’s Love. Christopher Columbus (1451-1506) discovered America on October 12, 1492 for he was determined to reach India by sailing West. He had indeed discovered the New World but failed to discover Love or the meaning of Love.  The Land that Columbus  discovered was not India and he mistakenly identified its people as Indians. The Discovery of America by Columbus resulted in the introduction of sexually transmitted infection like Syphilis from the New World to the Old World. That is the reason I choose to compare my Discovery with the historical Discovery of America.  My discovery is not about the New World, or the Old World. My discovery will be known as the Whole Discovery, the discovery of all the dimensions of Love, a discovery with a potential to transform the Whole World.

At Whole Foods Market, Ann Arbor, Michigan, the Whole Dude has formally announced his Whole Discovery, the discovery of the experience called Whole Love. Love is an emotional experience and it is both a Subjective, and an Objective experience. Love is a personal experience and the experience can be objectively verified. The mental experience called Love demands a Subject who may experience the feelings termed as Love and at the same time, Love demands an Object that may experience those feelings described as Love. Love is always manifested as a connection, a relationship, as an attachment, a bonding, or a cementing feeling that brings together the persons involved in the attraction called Love. Hence, there are three fundamental aspects of the experience called Love. These are, 1. The Subject who experiences Love by expressing Love of another person which is identified as the Object loved, and 2. Experiencing Love for being the Object of another person’s Love, and 3. To have the experience called Whole Love each person needs to be both the Subject who is Loving, and also be the Object that is Loved.

It may be very easy to claim that Love is a mutually shared experience and state that the partners in a Love relationship experience Love for one another to the same extent. When you examine the reality of the present day world, very few people may truly claim that they have discovered Love. To be the Subject who is Loving and simultaneously be the Object that is Loved on a reciprocal basis is not happening as frequently as people would expect to find. I cannot be described as a Part-Time, or Full-Time, a Temporary or Permanent, a Seasonal, or Regular Employee of any entity that provides the earnings, or wages in exchange for any mental or physical work performed by my human body. To live as Whole Dude is a Whole Time Job.

Whole Dude, Whole Man, Whole Person , or Whole Self works Whole Time during his Whole Life, from the moment of his conception until his death, by performing the Whole Job or Whole Work called Cellular Respiration even when he watches the TV relaxing on his couch or even when he is snoring, fast asleep in his bed.

The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not define full-time employment or part-time employment. This is a matter generally to be determined by the employer. Whether an employee is considered full-time or part-time does not change the application of the FLSA, nor does it affect the application of the Service Contract Act or Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage and fringe benefit requirements.

As such, each employee and his or her employer must make the determination about compensation or remuneration and agree upon the terms for wages and benefits for performing any kind of labor.

In my view, the Natural Sciences and the Medical Science in particular does not validate the concept of the White-Collar or the Managerial Class as no human being performs executive, administrative, or professional service while operating the metabolic functions of human bodies of their own. No man lives as the boss, the manager, the administrator, the executive officer, the ruler, the governor, or the controller of his own body.

Fact Sheet #17S: Higher Education Institutions and Overtime Pay Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

The FLSA requires that a non-exempt employee receive minimum wages for his or her work, as well as overtime wages whenever he or she works more than 40 hours in a workweek. Section 13(a)(1) of the FLSA, however, exempts certain employees who perform bona fide executive, administrative, professional, and outside sales duties from minimum wage and overtime requirements. These exemptions are often called the “white-collar” exemptions. This fact sheet discusses the applicability of these exemptions to jobs that are common in higher education institutions.

The Exempt vs the Non-Exempt Employees. The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is fundamentally flawed.

General Requirements for Exemptions

To qualify for a white collar exemption, an employee must generally satisfy three tests:

1. The employee must be paid on a salary basis that is not subject to reduction based on the quality or quantity of work (the “salary basis test”), rather than, for example, on an hourly basis;

2. The employee must receive a salary at a rate not less than $455* per week (the “salary level test”); and

3. The employee’s primary duty must involve the kind of work associated with the exempt status sought, such as executive, administrative, or professional work (the “duties test”).

Exemptions for Common Higher Education Jobs

Teachers

A teacher is exempt if his or her primary duty is teaching, tutoring, instructing, or lecturing to impart knowledge, and if he or she is performing that duty as an employee of an educational establishment. See 29 C.F.R. § 541.303. Educational establishments include elementary school systems, secondary school systems, institutions of higher education, and other educational institutions. See 29 C.F.R. § 541.204(b). If a bona fide teacher meets this duty requirement, the salary level and salary basis tests do not apply. See 29 C.F.R. §§ 541.303(d), 541.600(e). Given these standards, professors, instructors, and adjunct professors typically qualify for this exemption.

A faculty member who teaches online or remotely also may qualify for this exemption. The regulations do not restrict where bona fide teaching may take place, to whom the knowledge can be imparted, or how many hours a teacher must work per week to qualify for the exemption. The exemption would therefore ordinarily apply, for example, to a part-time faculty member of an educational establishment whose primary duty is to provide instruction through online courses to remote non-credit learners. The exemption could likewise apply, for example, to an agricultural extension agent who is employed by an educational establishment to travel and provide instruction to farmers, if the agent’s primary duty is teaching, instructing, or lecturing to impart knowledge. To determine a teacher’s primary duty, the relevant inquiry in all cases is the teacher’s actual job duties. Job titles or full/part-time status alone do not determine exempt status.

A teacher does not become non-exempt merely because he or she spends a considerable amount of time in extracurricular activities (such as coaching athletic teams or supervising student clubs), provided the teacher’s primary duty is teaching.

Coaches

Athletic coaches employed by higher education institutions may qualify for the teacher exemption. After all, teaching may include instructing student-athletes in how to perform their sport. But a coach will not qualify for the exemption if his or her primary duties are recruiting students to play sports or visiting high schools and athletic camps to conduct student interviews. The amount of time the coach spends instructing student-athletes in a team sport is relevant, but not the exclusive factor, in determining the coach’s exempt status.

Professional Employees

The FLSA provides for several kinds of exempt professional employees—such as learned professionals, creative professionals, teachers, and employees practicing law or medicine. In higher education, employees eligible for the professional exemption are often either teachers (as discussed above) or learned professionals (as described below). To qualify as a learned professional, the employee must satisfy three requirements:

1. The employee’s primary duty must be the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge;

2. The advanced knowledge must be in a field of science or learning; and

3. The advanced knowledge must be customarily acquired by a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction.

See 29 C.F.R. § 541.301. Unless the employee is a teacher or practicing law or medicine, he or she must also satisfy the above-referenced salary basis and salary level tests to be an exempt professional.

In higher education, examples of exempt non-teacher learned professionals generally include certified public accountants, psychologists, certified athletic trainers, and librarians. Postdoctoral fellows, who conduct research at a higher education institution after completing their doctoral studies, likewise generally meet the duties requirements of the learned professional exemption, and they may additionally qualify for the teacher exemption if teaching is their primary duty. Of course, an employee’s qualification for the exemption depends on his or her actual job duties and education. Job titles alone are not sufficient for determining whether an employee satisfies the duties test.

Administrative Employees

Various employees at higher educational institutions may qualify as exempt administrative employees. The administrative exemption applies when the following requirements are met:

1. The employee’s compensation must satisfy the above-referenced salary basis and salary level tests;

2. The employee’s primary duty must be the performance of office or non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations of the employer or the employer’s customers; and

3. The employee’s primary duty must include the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

See 29 C.F.R. § 541.200. Such administrative employees in higher education might include, for example, admissions counselors or student financial aid officers. An employee’s qualification for the exemption depends on his or her actual job duties; job titles alone are not sufficient for determining whether an employee satisfies the duties test.

Notably, there are specific regulatory provisions for certain administrative employees—known as “academic administrative employees”—whose primary duty is performing administrative functions directly related to academic instruction or training in an educational establishment. To be exempt as an academic administrative professional:

1. The employee must satisfy the above-referenced salary basis and salary level tests or receive a salary of at least the entrance salary for teachers in the same educational establishment; and

2. The employee’s primary duty must be to perform administrative functions directly related to academic instruction or training in an educational establishment.

See 29 C.F.R. § 541.204. Employees who work in higher education but whose work does not relate to the educational field (such as work in general business operations) do not qualify as exempt academic administrative employees. See id.

In higher education institutions, exempt academic administrative personnel generally include department heads, intervention specialists who are available to respond to student academic issues, and other employees with similar responsibilities. Exempt administrative personnel would likewise generally include academic counselors who administer school testing programs, assist students with academic problems, and advise students concerning degree requirements. Again, whether an employee satisfies the duties test for these exemptions depends on the employee’s actual job duties, not just the employee’s job title.

Executive Employees

To qualify for the executive exemption, an employee must satisfy the following tests:

1. The employee must receive compensation that satisfies the above-referenced salary basis and salary level tests;

2. The employee’s primary duty must be managing the enterprise or a customarily recognized department or subdivision thereof;

3. The employee must customarily and regularly direct the work of at least two or more other full-time employees or their equivalent (for example, one full-time and two half-time employees); and

4. The employee must have the authority to hire or fire other employees, or in the alternative, the employee’s suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other employees must be given particular weight.

See 29 C.F.R. § 541.100. Various positions in higher education institutions might qualify for the executive exemption, including deans, department heads, directors, and any other manager or supervisor whose job duties and compensation satisfy the above criteria.

Student-Employees

As a general matter, most students who work for their college or university are hourly non-exempt workers and do not work more than 40 hours per week. The following, however, are examples of students who often receive a salary or other non-hourly compensation:

· Graduate Teaching Assistants. Graduate teaching assistants whose primary duty is teaching are exempt. Because they qualify for the teacher exemption, they are not subject to the salary basis and salary level tests.

· Research Assistants. Generally, an educational relationship exists when a graduate or undergraduate student performs research under a faculty member’s supervision while obtaining a degree. Under these circumstances, the Department would not assert that an employment relationship exists with either the school or any grantor funding the student’s research. This is true even though the student may receive a stipend for performing the research.

· Student Residential Assistants. Students enrolled in bona fide educational programs who are residential assistants and receive reduced room or board charges or tuition credits are not generally considered employees under the FLSA. They therefore are not entitled to minimum wages and overtime under the FLSA.

An employment relationship will generally exist when a student receives compensation and his or her duties are not part of an overall education program. For example, students who work at food service counters, sell programs or usher at events, or wash dishes in dining halls and anticipate some compensation (for example, money or meals) are generally considered employees entitled to minimum wage and overtime compensation.

Compensatory Time at Public Universities

Public universities or colleges that qualify as a “public agency” under the FLSA may compensate non-exempt employees with compensatory time off (or “comp time”) in lieu of overtime pay. A college or university is a public agency under the FLSA if it is a political subdivision of a State. When determining whether a college or university is a “political subdivision,” the Department considers whether (1) the State directly created the entity, or (2) individuals administering the entity are responsible to public officials or the general electorate.

If the public university or college qualifies as a public agency, non-exempt employees generally may not accrue more than 240 hours of comp time. However, employees engaged to work in a public safety activity, an emergency response activity, or a seasonal activity may accrue as much as 480 hours of comp time. See 29 U.S.C. 207(o)(3)(A). Private higher education institutions may not pay employees comp time in lieu of overtime pay.

On Sunday, June 20, 2021, Father’s Day, I reflect upon the unique and special relationship between Jesus, the Son of Man and God. I am alien, foreigner, sojourner, stranger, tenant and traveler with no place to call home.

I describe myself as the alien who carries the burden of the cross as Jesus slowly moves to reach His earthly destination. Jesus is spared from the burden of carrying the cross on the day of His crucifixion.

I describe myself as Simon a Cyrenian bearing the burden of the cross under compulsion and following Jesus. I am in the City of Jerusalem and yet I am an alien for I am not a citizen of Rome, not a citizen of Israel, not a citizen of Judea, and not a citizen of Galilee. I follow Jesus but I have not yet entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth to claim the citizenship status. I reflect upon the Great Struggle, the Agony of the Cup held by Jesus and the Burden of the Cross I carry. The completed act of Crucifixion resolved the Agony of the Cup, the Great Struggle endured by Jesus. I am the alien who is present when Jesus cries out as the Agony of the Cup comes to its conclusion.

I reflect upon the words of Jesus on this Father’s Day. Before getting nailed to the Cross, Jesus expresses His special and unique relationship to God by addressing God as Abba or Father. After getting nailed to the Cross, I hear the final seven words cried out by Jesus. The special and unique relationship between the Father and the Son of Man suddenly disappears. The personal God gets transformed into impersonal God.

On this Father’s Day, I reflect upon the final words of the Son of Man. His words relate to the words of pain and anguish shared by King David, the King of Israel and the author of the Book of Psalms. The pain is the same. But, the Agony of the Cup and the Burden of the Cross are different. The Agony of the Cup gets revealed to Father. The pain of Crucifixion gets revealed to God. Father vs God. What is the difference? What makes the difference? What is the difference between personal God and impersonal God?

On this Father’s Day, I am reflecting upon the difference between the words Father and God, the two different words used by Son of Man before getting nailed to the Cross, and after the completion of the act of Crucifixion that is nearing its conclusion. In my analysis, the difference between Father and God reflects upon the nature of the relationship. The Father-Son relationship, partnership, bonding, association, the coming together, and the yoking cannot be experienced in the God-man relationship which imposes a degree of detachment, estrangement, separation, and alienation. For I describe myself as an alien, I bear the burden of the Cross as I painfully march to the destination when the struggle finally reaches its conclusion, at the ninth hour, I ask myself, “My God, Why have You forsaken me.”

WHOLE PATIENCE: TO KNOW, TO UNDERSTAND THE QUALITY, THE ABILITY, OR THE FACT OF PATIENCE, I PRAY TO THE SON OF MAN KNOWN AS JESUS, A NATIVE OF NAZARETH, GALILEE.

I pray to Son of Man, a native of Nazareth, Galilee to know, and to understand the quality, the ability, or the fact of “PATIENCE.” I am using the phrase “WHOLE PATIENCE” for Jesus clearly demonstrated His other supernatural abilities. Jesus had several options if He chose not to wait, not to tolerate, not to succumb, and not to experience the horrors of pain and humiliation imposed by crucifixion.

THE GOSPEL IS OF VERY SPECIAL INTEREST TO THE ALIEN AS IT REVEALS GOD’S COSTLY PLAN FOR REDEMPTION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.

The Gospel of Luke 23:26, Matthew 27:31, and Mark 15:21 is of very special interest to the alien carrying the burden of the cross. The Gospel reveals God’s costly plan for redemption through crucifixion and the plan shifts the burden of cross from Jesus to the alien. The word redemption means to release, or freedom from payment of a price and the man’s freedom or deliverance, or liberation involving the greatest possible depth of suffering. The price paying concept lies at the heart of redemption and hence it is a costly action. A ransom-price is paid by Jesus and yet the alien is not set free from the burden of the cross. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” (Gospel According to Saint Mark, Chapter 10, verse#45) The emphasis is on the giving of Life as a ransom. It is a completed act for Jesus who paid the ransom-price. Jesus performed this action with Whole Patience. It is immaterial as to whom Christ paid this price. For the alien, the only concern is to experience the results of this full redemption by receiving God’s grace and mercy through Christ and His Love. Jesus had gone through the whole of human experience including the worst horrors of pain and humiliation and it is unfair to leave the alien with the never ending burden.

Today, the alien is still carrying the burden of the cross while he slowly inches towards his final, earthly destination. The alien has no choice other than that of learning the art of Whole Patience. I am alien for I have not yet entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

WHOLE CHRIST–WHOLE LOVE–WHOLE REDEEMER:

Endurance is the ability to stand pain, distress, and fatigue; it is the ability to resist and withstand suffering and hardship with fortitude and patience.

THE TRIAL AND EXECUTION OF JESUS IS A LESSON TO THE ALIEN, A TEACHING TO KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THE QUALITIES OF PATIENCE AND ENDURANCE. ROMAN GOVERNOR PONTIUS PILATE THOROUGHLY SCOURGED JESUS AND ASKED PEOPLE IF HE NEEDS TO PUNISH MORE.

Endurance speaks of the ability to hold up under pain, to tolerate, to put up with, to bear pain without flinching. It is the Will, ability, quality, or fact of waiting without complaint. It demands steadiness, perseverance, self-control, resoluteness in the face of grave provocation. This ability to bear suffering results from firm sustained courage and it is a mistake to interpret endurance as cowardice. Jesus remained calm and unperturbed while people angrily shouted demanding his crucifixion.

The alien walking behind Jesus carrying the cross knows the Son of Man as a picture of stoicism displaying grit, and courage that refuses to succumb under any circumstances, a courage that involves utmost indifference to personal pain and suffering.

“THEN SOME BEGAN TO SPIT AT  HIM,  THEY  BLINDFOLDED  HIM,  STUCK  HIM  WITH  THEIR  FISTS,  AND  SAID, ‘PROPHESY!’ AND THE GUARDS TOOK  HIM  AND  BEAT  HIM .” GOSPEL OF   MARK, CHAPTER 14, VERSE#65.

TO WHICH LAND AND TO WHICH KINGDOM DOES THE ALIEN CARRYING THE CROSS TRULY BELONGS? WHO WILL SHARE THE PROPHESY?

THE SON OF MAN IS CRUCIFIED AND IT ONLY SPEAKS ABOUT HIS WILL TO REFRAIN FROM RETALIATION, AND FORBEARANCE. PEOPLE TAUNTED JESUS TO SAVE  HIS  OWN  LIFE  AND TO  COME  DOWN. THE ALIEN WITH THE NEVER ENDING BURDEN OF CROSS CHOOSES FORTITUDE EVEN IF IT IS TO BE  MISTAKEN  OR  MISINTERPRETED   AS WEAKNESS.

THE ROMAN GOVERNOR PONTIUS PILATE OR HIS SOLDIERS POSTED A WRITTEN NOTICE ABOVE THE CROSS ON WHICH JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED. THE NEVER ENDING BURDEN OF THE CROSS CARRIED BY THE ALIEN BEARS NO SUPERSCRIPTION.

Before marching to the place of crucifixion, Jesus was repeatedly taunted, mocked, and ridiculed by people, by criminals, by officials, by soldiers, by the high priest, King Herod, and Roman Governor Pontius Pilate. The ultimate act of indignity was that of calling Him, “THE KING OF THE JEWS” showing utter contempt for His failure to save His own life and get away from the Cross on which He was nailed. The alien without getting nailed is still carrying the burden of the cross enduring the ridicule, taunts, mockery, indignity, and utter contempt.

JESUS DID NOT EXPRESS ANY THOUGHTS OR FEELINGS OF SELF-PITY AFTER GETTING NAILED TO THE CROSS. JESUS SAID, “FATHER, FORGIVE THEM, FOR THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.”(THE GOSPEL OF ST LUKE, CHAPTER 23, VERSE#34). THE NEVER ENDING BURDEN OF CARRYING THE CROSS IS NOT YET FORGIVEN.

Jesus did not rebuke the people who offended and punished Him. Jesus did not express any desire to retaliate against them and did not express any thoughts or feelings of Self-Pity. Jesus after His crucifixion said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”( The Gospel According to Saint Luke, Chapter 23, verse#34)

ECCE HOMO – “BEHOLD THE MAN”

  • There is no easy cure, and there is no easy remedy to the never ending burden of walking with the cross.The alien’s problem is that of alienation or estrangement from his own true or real nature that God implanted in the man while making the man in His own image. The man lives as an ‘alien’ for the man has lost his relationship with his own LORD God Creator. The divine nature of the Son of Man becomes self-evident when the alien learns the Art of Patience and Endurance. I ask my readers to ‘Behold The Man’ and see His Patience, Fortitude, Forbearance, Perseverance, Calmness, Steadiness, Strength, Self-Control, and His resolute Endurance.

    I am sharing a collection of images that depict Jesus when the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate presented Him to a mob of people who gathered outside the palace shouting to crucify Jesus. This alien has no access to care or comfort while he faces the difficult problems of his simple, mortal existence. The never ending burden to carry the Cross compels the alien to reflect on the proverb that instructs the man to endure problems that cannot be cured.

    IF PROBLEMS HAVE NO ANSWERS, IF PAIN AND SUFFERING CANNOT BE CURED, THE MAN TO KEEP HIS EXISTENCE HAS TO LEARN THE ART OF PATIENCE.

    The doctrine of One and Only One God or Monotheism is not compatible with the idea of Secularism

    The doctrine of One and Only One God or Monotheism is not compatible with the idea of Secularism.

    The Doctrine of One and Only One God or the Doctrine of Monotheism is not consistent with the Doctrine of Secularism:
    The discussion must address the core issue that relates to the compatibility of religious doctrine and the political doctrine. If a country like Pakistan chooses Islam as its national identity, it cannot be secular at the same time. The problem is not due to the political philosophy or doctrine  of Pakistan. The problem simply relates to the religious doctrine called Islam. So, we have to examine the religious doctrine called Islam which is just a variation of the religious doctrine of Jews, Christians, and Sikhs who proclaim belief in One and Only One God. Such religious beliefs are always inconsistent with the concept of Secularism.
    The central concept of Monotheism, the concept of One and Only One God is as much flawed as the Heliocentric theory proposed by Copernicus. I ask people to understand the concept of LORD God Creator taking into account the creative abilities of God. It is apparent that God has chosen to be simultaneously different without any concern to manifest His singularity. Each created object, either the celestial object or the living thing always exists as an Individual thing with its own Individuality without any choice of its own. There are no duplicates in this created world and the universe. Each planet displays its own unique, original, one of its own kind of rotational spin while the planets may orbit or revolve around the Sun. The motions of the Sun around the Milky Way Galactic Center are of no consequence to the living experience of the man on the surface of Earth. The life span of the man, his life journey is measured by the apparent Sunrise and Sunset while the Sun moves across the arched dome that the man describes as Sky or Heaven. Even with the help of the latest reproductive technologies such as cloning, the living things including the bacteria can only exist as Individuals with Individuality. This Individualism exists and is preconditioned by the Individual’s connection to an external source of energy without concern for the fate of the social group to which the Individual may belong. I am not surprised to read about the Resurrection of Christ while the Jews and Christians still lead their own mortal existence without any choice of their own. Jesus, the Son of Man retained His Individuality after His Resurrection. Even with the Second Coming of the Christ, the man would still exist as an Individual with Individuality and each resurrected Individual may have to discover his/her own connection to the Creator God making it impossible to recognize God as a fact of shared experience. The cognitive abilities of the man are not designed to let the men share their individualistic experiences. The experience of Moses on Mount Sinai was not a collective experience of the Jews. The individualistic experience of Moses was never replicated. I can read about it but cannot experience it. There are no two daughter cells that are alike.
    In my analysis, the Hindu concept of God is consistent and is compatible with the political doctrine of Secularism. The Monotheist does not admit the possibility of God being simultaneously different. The Monotheist does not agree that my individualistic experience of God could be different from his belief in One and Only One God. The First Amendment to the US Constitution tries to address the threat posed by the doctrine of Monotheism.

    The Concept of Monotheism: “ONE AND ONLY ONE GOD” 

    The concept of Monotheism is fundamentally flawed. I understand that this concept originated in India and spread to other nations. Apart from members of ‘Arya Samaj’, Sikhs, and other followers of Vedic rituals, it gained more attention among the followers of Prophet Muhammad. 

    Firstly, the LORD God Creator has not given to the man the ability to directly experience God’s existence. The human mental experiences of all kinds are conditioned by Fundamental Forces such as the Gravitation. Man has the ability to subjectively and objectively experience his own living condition and not that of God. The speculative nature of the Theory of Monotheism becomes apparent when we verify the Theory by finding its correspondence to an external reality. You may search the entire physical world, you will not find the One and Only One God of your imagination. That God is an idea, a mere mental percept without any correspondence with an external Object. You cannot find One and Only One God in the ‘Transcendent’ Realm for the man is conditioned. Man cannot cross the boundaries of the Physical or Immanent Realm. In fact, the One and Only One God of Jews, Christians, Muslims, Vedic Hindus, and Sikhs are not the same. However, I want to make it clear that I admire the Bhagats and their traditions of Devotional Worship of God. The issue is not that of accepting or rejecting the Vedas or Gurbani. The Man arrives in the world all alone. The Man departs from the world all alone. Bhagat Kabir communicates this problem of Individualistic Existence because of the separation of the Transcendent and the Immanent Realms. The Man cannot hope to ride on the shoulders of his Guru, Master, or Teacher. The man who departs from this world has to reach his Final Destination using his own effort, actions, or “KARNI.” Even, the Guru has to reach his Final Destination using his own effort, actions, or “Karni.” The disciple or Chela cannot find any exceptions to this rule. “Guru ki karni Guru jayega, Chele ki karni Chela.”

    Monotheism is a term that was introduced in an effort to study religions. It is described as a religious belief that only one God exists. This belief in a single and transcendent God contrasts particularly with Polytheism which is described as a belief in many gods.

    Such oversimplification may conceal the true identity of the Gods of Monotheism. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are the principal Monotheistic religions. The demarcation between these faiths is very easy to determine and it is not so easy to establish their common ground. Dogmatic differences or differences in articles of faith must be explicitly recognized.

    The identity of the Divine is not represented merely by the philosophical speculations about God’s essence but by the God whom men worship in all the acts of piety which comprise the rituals of religion.

    If you consider the dogmas of religion; the articles of religious faith-based solely on divine revelation, you would conclude that the Gods of Monotheism live in different Heavens. There is no chance that the God of children of Israel, The Holy Trinity (Father, Jesus, the Holy Ghost/Spirit), and the God of Ishmael could coexist in the same transcendent or immanent realm.

    The doctrinal differences are too many. There are very serious differences on matters such as salvation, the nature, and mission of the synagogue/church/masjid, the places of their worship, its rituals and sacraments.

    The Monotheist concept of religious belief has not nurtured the concept of shared humanity that is united in religious brotherhood.

    The desire to assert the dominion of the one and only true God has often lead to violence and intolerance. Historically, Monotheists have killed to gain theological as well as political dominance. The Gods of Monotheism have caused far more wars and conflicts than the many gods of Polytheism.

    The adherence to an ABSOLUTIST thesis that only my God is God has resulted in a strict demand for intolerance of others holding different creeds. The Israelites practiced the worship of one God without denying the existence of other gods and the Torah also instructs them to act decently toward one another. The trinitarian creed of Christianity sets it apart from other religions.

    The Islamic interpretation of Monotheism is more literal and uncompromising than that of any other religion in the world. ‘TAWHID’ or oneness of God is the foremost article of the Muslim faith. Muslim belief is based upon the unity of Allah and the prophethood of Muhammad. To bestow Allah’s indivisible reality upon another god is considered by Muslims to be a lie, and stands as the only sin which Allah will not forgive. The Holy Book of Quran mentions that to attribute divinity to a created entity is the only unpardonable sin.

    The only point of agreement amongst Monotheistic religions is that of their hatred of idols. Polytheism is not an acceptable choice and it is considered as a form of Atheism. Idolatry ranks as perhaps the most common topic in the Bible and Quran.

    The people of India are ridiculed and are scoffed at because of their conceptions of God as anthropomorphic. Indians are verbally assaulted every day by Christian Evangelists for worshiping inanimate objects and historically, Indians were punished for being patrons of idolatry.

    In an effort to wipe out idolatry from India, numerous temples were destroyed and about 60 to 80 million people were killed between 1000 and 1525 CE.

    The Gods of Monotheism. The Fundamental Separation of the Transcendent and the Immanent Realms.

    Psalm 115, verses 4 to 8 from The Old Testament Book of Psalms, illustrates the hatred of idols:

    “But their idols are silver and gold, 

    made by the hands of men. 

    They have mouths, but cannot speak, 

    eyes, but they cannot see; 

    they have ears, but cannot hear, 

    noses but they cannot smell; 

    they have hands, but cannot feel, 

    feet, but they cannot walk, 

    nor can they utter a sound with their throats. 

    Those who make them will be like them, 

    and so will all who trust in them…” 

    THE INDIAN CONCEPT OF GOD WORSHIP 

    The Vedic Scripture of Shukla Yajurveda in its final chapter of ‘Isha Upanishad’ (Ishavasya Upanishad), verses 12-14 recommend the worship of the Divine in its Immanent (manifest, visible phenomenal forms) and it’s Transcendent (unmanifest, invisible, Absolute) forms. 

    “Into deep darkness falls those who follow the immanent. Into deeper darkness fall those who follow the transcendent. By the worship of the Manifested, one end is attained; by the worship of the Unmanifested, another.

    Thus we have heard from the wise men who taught us this. He who knows at the same time both the Unmanifested and the Manifested, he crosses over death through knowledge of the manifested and attains immortality through the knowledge of the First Cause.”

    Tat Asmi PrabhO-God-Man Dualism-Identity-Magnitude
    The concept of One and Only One God is not compatible with the concept of Secularism.

    THAT (the Invisible or Unmanifest Absolute) is WHOLE, WHOLE is THIS (the Visible or Manifest Absolute); what has come out of WHOLE (the Invisible) is also WHOLE ( the Visible). When the WHOLE is taken out of the WHOLE, the WHOLE remains WHOLE (it remains unaltered). 

    OM! PEACE, PEACE, LET PEACE ALONE PREVAIL.
