On behalf of The Living Tibetan Spirits, I ask that a Memorial Stone be erected in Demagiri, Tlabung, the place which served as the Force Headquarters of The Fifth Army in Bangladesh under the command of Major General Sujan Singh Uban, the Inspector General of Special Frontier Force.

During the Bangladesh Ops 1971-72, Lieutenant Colonel B K Narayan and the South Column Unit he Commanded liberated Kaptai in Rangamati District of Chittagong Hill Tracts. He conducted the Friday prayer service for Muslim worshipers in Kaptai. The Military Mission had aimed at bringing Peace and Joy to the Bangla Muslim Community. The role of this Gunner officer as an Infantry Commander is historical.

During the Indo-Pak War of 1971, the Medical Officer belonging to the Indian Army Medical Corps had displayed Courage while operating inside the enemy territory and in the face of enemy action. Being a Combatant, the Gallantry displayed by the AMC Officer deserves proper recognition.
