Philosophy of Medicine – Lesson. 111 – The Story of my Childhood Abduction reflects the Societal Value of the practice of Compassion

This is a story about child abduction and a miraculous rescue made possible by adherence to the Tradition. In the Land of India, the tradition and practice of AHIMSA or non-injury has been well established. Ahimsa helps humans as much as it promotes the well being of animals.
This concept of ‘Ahimsa’ reached me through the Compassionate Service rendered by a man who practiced the principle of ‘Ahimsa’ and gained the ability to recognize Pain and Suffering, without the need for any verbal communication, in a practical sense better than any Physician who practices Medicine.
