August 15, 2025. India celebrates 79th Independence Day

I record major events of my life in relation to India’s independence on August 15, 1947. The Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated on January 30, 1948 and my life’s journey became associated with the story of this young nation. 

My Date of Commission is July 26 and the Sweetness of Victory on July 26

All said and done, the Kargil War stands out as the proud symbol of Indian Identity and Indian Unity while confronting an adverse situation imposed by the evil, unfair, and unjust actions of India’s Enemy.
26th July is an important date in my memory for I joined the Indian Army Medical Corps at Lucknow on this date in 1970.

I was granted Short Service Regular Commission in the Army Medical Corps during September 1969 and participated in the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971.

Winning Peace -The Art of Preparing for War

We can win Peace when we are prepared for War. We can not win peace if we are not ready for war. There will be no peace until we are willing to stand up to the challenge posed by the enemy. People who arrive at the battlefield fully prepared are more likely to display courage and the well-prepared are more likely to win. 

Indira Gandhi – A Flame that got extinguished

I had joined the Indian Army Medical Corps in 1969 as a Final Year M.B.B.S. student and the flame to serve the Nation got extinguished during September 1983 at Ministry of Defence, South Block, The Secretariat Building in New Delhi.
