The cartoon picture of decapitated Buddha that was published in The Ann Arbor News on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 is plainly disgusting and is clearly an insult. It serves no purpose other than to hurt the feelings of people who respect Lord Gautama Buddha.

During Indo-Pak War of 1971, Colonel B K Narayan and the Unit he Commanded had liberated Kaptai in Rangamati District of Chittagong Hill Tracts. He conducted the Friday prayer service for Muslim worshipers at Kaptai. The Military Mission had aimed at bringing Peace and Joy to the Bangla Muslim Community. The role of this Gunner officer as an Infantry Commander is historical.
