We have weapons to fight our external enemies.
Suratgarh in Sri Ganganagar District of Rajasthan is considered to be the Land of Rig Veda. The chief Rig Vedic River of Sarasvati drenched the soil of this area around 3,000 B.C.
Suratgarh is a strategic post where Indian Armed Forces train to prepare to fight the enemy. I had lived and camped at Suratgarh several times during 1976-1978. Preparing for a battle always induces a sense of excitement. In this story at my Home Page of bhavanajagat, I had described the excitement and anxiety which was a medical symptom of a terrifying disease known as ‘Hydrophobia’. Mechanism of action of tetanospasmin

The spores of Tetanus bacilli can live in soil for years. The spores can survive autoclaving instruments at 121 degrees centigrade.

Tetanus is a terrifying disease caused by a neurotoxin excreted by Clostridium tetani bacilli. Kindly review the story about a 17-year-old young woman who got tragically exposed to this infection at my Home page of Bhavanajagat.

Cucumber, Cucumis sativus, is a vine fruit and is native to India.
The ancient Vedic Book of Rig Veda in a hymn known as Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra expresses a very unique idea or concept about conquering death. Man is mortal. Just like a fully ripened fruit falls off from a tree, a man ripe in age, even when not afflicted by any disease or sickness, would encounter natural physical death. The hymn suggests that a man can become ‘immortal’ and could conquer physical death by simply severing his psychological attachment to his own life. This act of cutting attachments to free oneself to secure victory over physical death is compared to the act of harvesting Cucumbers.

Welcome to Bhavanajagat and I invite you to read my page ‘About Bhavanajagat’ and get introduced to my ideas and thoughts which also describe my Indian Identity.”I am Consciousness, therefore I am” is my proposition to examine the status of man in nature, to understand human condition, to explain human existence, and to derive further truths. My physical condition in the material world may not describe my true identity. In the Indian Tradition, we are encouraged to think of Identity in relationship to an unchanging ‘Ultimate Reality’. At the same time, every idea, and thought that were expressed in the Land of India are firmly associated with the physical geography of the Land. I currently live in Ann Arbor, Michigan and when I look up towards the sky and find the Sun, I recognize the Sun as ‘ Vyomanatha’ and as one who traverses across ‘Vindhya Veedhi’, a path that traverses the Vindhya Mountains of India.When I see the Huron River that flows through the City of Ann Arbor, it instantly reminds me of the rivers such as Godavari, and Ganga that flow across the Land of India. Kindly share your ideas and thoughts in the spirit of Rig Vedic statement which reflects the idea of receiving noble thoughts from all directions. Decorated Indian elephants: A Prayer to Lord Ganesha for Blessings of Peace, Harmony, and Tranquility to promote well-being of all people. The Elephant Face of Lord Ganesha is derived from an Asiatic/Indian Elephant and the Face promotes a sense of mental composure and helps performance of human actions without facing obstacles.

 

Lord Ganesha

A Prayer to Lord Ganesha in the performance of all human actions that intend to promote the well-being of the performer or help in promoting the well-being of all others. It is very important to note that the Prayer exclusively intends to promote well-being and cannot be used to perform actions that intend to harm or injure others.

 

Sri Vakra Tunda Mahaa kaaya,  

Koti Surya Sama Prabhaa,  

Nir vighnam Kuru me Deva,  

Subha karyeshu Sarvada.  

I seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha in all of my actions that intend to promote my well-being or help in promoting the well-being of others.  

While reflecting upon Lord Ganesha it is important to understand the ‘zoomorphic’ form represented in Indian Culture. He is popularly known as the God with Elephant’s head. There are two species of elephants. Elephas maximus is native to India and Southeastern Asia. Loxodonta africana, the second elephant species is known as the African elephant. The ears of the Indian elephant are considerably smaller than those of the African elephant which has large ears with a flatter head.Indian elephants are extensively used as ceremonial animals and are also widely drafted for a variety of purposes. African elephant is never used as a ceremonial animal and used as a draft animal to a very small extent. Lord Ganesha cannot be portrayed with the head of an African elephant. He cannot be depicted with two tusks. He has one tusk and it could only resemble the tusk of an Indian elephant. The long, flexible snout known as ‘trunk’ of Ganesha must always show a bend in its curvature and is never depicted straight and hence the hymn identifies Him as “VAKRA TUNDA”. Some European artists who had no clue about the differences between the two elephant species had depicted Lord Ganesha with the head of an African elephant. The Lord is connected to the Land of India and only the Indian elephant has the honor to represent His zoomorphic form.

His Holiness Dalai Lama celebrated 74th birthday on Monday, July 6, at  New Delhi. We continue to pray for his good health. He symbolizes the hopes, the dreams, and the aspirations of Tibetan people who desire to preserve their religion, and their Cultural Identity.

I had an opportunity to work with some young Tibetan men and women. Some of these young men had given their lives in the hope of liberating their Land of Tibet. I am a witness to their deaths and the sacrifice they made. I wish H.H. Dalai Lama ‘Many Happy Returns of the Day’ on their behalf. They are gone but not forgotten. As per my proposition, “I am Consciousness, therefore I am”, I am not only a Conscious entity, these Tibetan Souls that I represent continue to live and exist in my Consciousness.

Blessings for Peace

Blessings for Peace. Peace demands the physical, mental, social, moral, and spiritual well-being of man in his community.

 Sarvesham Swastir Bhavatu,    

Sarvesham Shantir Bhavatu,     

Sarvesham Purnam Bhavatu,    

Sarvesham Mangalam Bhavatu,    

Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti hi.    

This Shanti Mantra from ‘Upanishads‘ invokes Peace upon entire humanity. The idea of peace is always associated with the idea of well-being. The idea of perfect well-being also includes ideas of inner peace and tranquility.The physical, mental, social, moral, and spiritual well-being are a part of perfect and complete well-being. The aspects of external and internal peace work together to contribute to a state of Blissful Existence. Hence, peace is not mere absence of war and strife. A man lives in peace if his well-being is fully assured. Since human existence is sustained by health and well-being, peace has become an integral aspect of human survival and existence. We seek this blissful state of existence as a Blessing from our Creator both for the individual and collectively for the larger national and global community to which the individual belongs.
